Here is my take on this week subject for IF … and I also wanted to share with you two other ideas I had in mind, and my sketch for the final I did. I am browsing a lot of great web site these days and I realized I really enjoy seeing the “process” behind the final illustration. So here are 2 other ideas and the one sketch (yep, no 3) that I liked the most. It’s a pretty interesting subject, because so many things can be seen as “immovable”. Time, space, elephants, huge rocks, slunk, porcupine…. or just a teen boy playing on his ipod touch for hours… and hours…. and…

Sketches 1-2-3 :

This is so perfect! I love his slouch. Great illustration!
I wish I had a process to show you, but I just kind of did it and it was done.
Yes, I had those moments too… where the idea just pop’s out naturally. No warning, no sketches. That’s pretty cool too!
Thanks!! I wanted to add a box of pizza (half empty) and some cola bottle at his feet but did not want it to be too “caricatural”.
this is so perfect! love teen angst and you captured it so well. he isn’t going anywhere for a long time.
This is GREAT!! Love the palette and all the elements and subtleties. This is a very sophisticated, intelligent piece. If I had an award I’d give it to you!
Thanks Erika, always nice to have your feedbacks!! Yep, he is not moving… hehehe
Ann Marie, thank you sooo much. And as for awards, all the incredibly nice feedback I get from this blog is worth all the awards in the world. So thank you.
I love your work…you are really great!
