Just had to do another tarot card (I am at three now with the Wheel of fortune and the Death card) So here is: The moon. It’s just so much fun to do. One by one, in no particular order. Who knows, I may have my own deck of tarot cards at one point, one day. I think the moon shadows are the greatest thing, that… and red wine. Hehehe but seriously. There is something about the full moon, it’s really magical. Inspired by this week IF theme: Shadows, I tried to respect most of the symbolism of the Moon tarot card from the Tarot de Marseille. The next full moon is June 15th … hope the sky is clear.

Wonderful!!
Gorgeous! I look forward to the day when you have a complete set of tarot cards for sale. Love your work!
Beautiful and haunting! Yes, moon shadows are lovely, but I wouldn’t want to meet that huge crab any time of day
Wonderful. I also want to see the rest of the deck!
Very cool. I love the mirrored polarity of the dogs. The crimson of the lobster is a very moody touch right there in the center. Deftly done.
The moon is an interesting thing to ponder. It does not create it’s own light and one side of it is always, forever dark. The way it is so perfectly synchronized to provide seasons and the way it rotates in such a manner that only one side of it is ever lit. It is beautiful. Less than the sun, and largely relying on the sun to reflect any light at all, but greater than the stars in that it is close to earth.
The moon feels so human. Sometimes we are full, sometimes only fractions of our full selves, and sometimes we are empty. We must reflect the light of what we have learned and believe the way the moon reflects the light cast by the sun.
I dig the moon. I relate to it.
Nice work.
Moon shadows! Great idea! Very mystical and awe-inspiring, this one. The asymmetrical symmetry is wonderful. And that’s so cool that you are showing different phases of the moon simultaneously. Brilliant work!
