Influence

The nice part about that new IF topic: influence,  is that it translate the same in French. Seriously, the first  idea  I had was actually a political illustration… I wanted to illustrate about the growing influence of the Tea Party in the US political sphere…  my idea was all ready to go, sketched and all. And then I changed my mind (happens a lot when I wear both hats: art director & illustrator… Oh well) anyway, I decided to go with a totally different approach, as you can see below.

influence Influence

———

    he he. :)
Sometimes I feel the coloring is backwards.. black sheep wanting to paint a white one…
    Nice take!
It is very simple and yet the longer I look at it, the more thinking it makes me do..

hehe thank you Malka, yes, could have been the other way around… all we have to do is “invert” colors and it would work just as well! Thanks for the nice words!!

Ha, ha, and to add to it, I have the sound to go with it, there is a big herd of sheep outside my workspace-window this morning :-)

Chibi and Elizabeth… you are right, this has the look and feel of a painting (actually it was meant to be) but… of course it’s all an illusion. All been done in digital collage, of course. I just had fun with the textures and the light so it would have a bit of the “oil painting” look… I figured it would go well with the scenery.

Spindelmaker… no way??!! You have sheep in your background? Hooo that’s sweet. That would have helped me a lot with that collage!! hehehe… thanks for stopping by, I think I can hear them now…. :)

I’m thinking the Black Sheep IS rather related to the Tea Party Republicans. And too many of my countrymen are like sheep. :-)

So many great comments… would be too long to reply to all here… but I love all your comments and always smile reading these! And yes, Roberto, I try to translate all my blog entry from French to English or vice-versa as I know most people have English as a second (or first) language.
