Boundaries

boundaries Boundaries

Boundaries… we all have them. When to cross the line, when to obey? Good question. Dogs are so good at respecting the limits (usually, anyway). I find it quite funny when I compare their behavior with cats who seems to be totally unaware of boundaries. So this is just a small illo to illustrate this week topic’s.

Les limites… nous en avons tous. Quand dépassé la ligne, quand obéir? Bonne question.

I have a pug. One day he ignored his boundaries and went on a little adventure in the snow.

He walked and walked and walked, far far away. We searched for him frantically. We put up posters for a missing dog and marshaled our extended family to look for him.

Finally, our aunt found him being dropped off at the pound. She was there to see if they had any pugs and a family pulled into the parking lot with a pug. It was our dog!

He had been taken in by some kids and was sleeping in a garage. He had walked so much his little doggy nails were worn down to almost nothing.

He never leaves the yard, now.

Great illo! I love the interplay between the kitten and the dog. It seems this dynamic exists in people too. There are some things my brother and law can say that I would never get away with saying because people expect different things from us.

You’ve got a ton of stuff on your blog! I feel like such a putzy friend.

It is so true. I once had a cat for a year till we had to give it away since it simply became too notorious …. more importantly, I love your art style, it’s amazing!

Rubin: I remember you once mention your pug!! I love those!!… happy to read that your lost dog story has a good ending!! I always wondered if dogs who got lost would be more careful afterwards, so I guess your story proves that he did learn his lesson! As for my over-the-top postings, I am in a frenzy at the moment but I will calm down soon as I have a couple of jobs and projects on the burners, so dont feel bad hehe I will transform into a slow-blogger soon.

Nelleke Thank you, you are so sweet! Yeah I really wanted the cat to be “memorable”. haha!

Doodle Isle : Yep, cats can have lot’s of “personality”, too. I love both cats and dogs… they are just so different.

Onneke : Thanks Onneke! Always a challenge to make the right animal “expression” with collage!! So your comment makes me think I succeeded this time around! hehehe Will go visit your blog again, been a while since I stopped by!

Hey, you know when I click the button to come here I never know what I will find, but I always know it will be good. And you never fail to dissappoint. How true this, how succinct, :)

Mind you I surf at a beach where they allow dogs – ad dogs have no boundaries when you are lying on a towel in your swimmers!

    cheers from here :)

on vit chez les chats et non l’inverse alors on n’a pas beaucoup de contrôle sur eux c’est peut être leur façon de nous imposer leur vision des limites. Je découvre tranquillement ton art que je trouve agréable à regarder et à explorer.
